£112 for 7 days

A circular route linking the two souls of the Veneto: the elegant art cities and the industrious, vineyard-covered countryside. Starting and finishing on the Venice mainland, the ride passes through the Euganean Hills spa district, Palladio's Vicenza, the grappa town of Bassano del Grappa and the hill town of Asolo, before returning via Treviso.
Tour Highlights
Select the tour you are interested in to view the itinerary.
Individual arrival and overnight in Mestre, the Venice mainland.
Follow the Brenta Canal past Venetian villas to Padua, then continue via the Piovego and Battaglia canals into the Euganean Hills.
A loop past Catajo Castle, Montegrotto and Monselice, with a wine and oil tasting at Arqua Petrarca and a detour to the gardens of Villa Barbarigo.
Cycle along the river Bacchiglione, past the Palladian masterpiece Villa La Rotonda, into Vicenza's historic centre.
Ride via Marostica, famous for its castle and giant chessboard, to Bassano del Grappa, known for the grappa spirit and its covered wooden bridge.
The only real climb of the tour takes you into the hill town of Asolo, before a descent through Prosecco vineyards to Treviso and its ancient waterways.
Follow the River Sile back to the Venice mainland, passing the half-sunken wooden boats of the Cimitero dei Burci in Casier.
Departure after breakfast.
We recommend flying to Venice and returning from Venice.

Getting to Venice (Mestre)
By plane: Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) has direct flights from most UK airports with British Airways, easyJet and others. A bus or the Alilaguna waterbus connects the airport to Mestre or central Venice in around 20-30 minutes.
By train: Mestre and Venice Santa Lucia stations sit on the main Milan-Venice line, well connected to Verona, Padua and Vicenza.
Getting home from Venice (Mestre)
As this is a loop tour, the return journey uses the same Marco Polo Airport connections as the outbound journey - by bus or waterbus from Mestre in around 20-30 minutes.
