Starting on the shores of Lake Garda, this ride crosses the Veneto to the edge of Venice, taking in the historic art cities of Verona, Vicenza and Padua, and finishing in the Euganean Hills before reaching the Venice mainland.
Tour Highlights
Individual arrival and overnight in Peschiera del Garda, on the southern shore of the lake.
Cross the hills around Lake Garda to meet the river Adige, which leads into Verona, home of the Roman Arena, the Church of San Zeno and Juliet's House.
Ride through vineyards at the foot of Mounts Lessini, past the castle of Soave, before reaching Vicenza, city of the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio.
Cycle along the Bacchiglione river, passing the Palladian villa La Rotonda, before heading into the Euganean Hills, the largest thermal district in Europe, with an included wine and oil tasting.
Follow the Battaglia Canal through Padua, one of Italy's oldest university cities, then continue via the Brenta Canal past historic Venetian villas to Mestre.

Getting to Peschiera del Garda
By plane: Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN), around 20km away, is the closest, with British Airways and easyJet flights from the UK. A train from Verona Porta Nuova reaches Peschiera in around 30 minutes.
By train: Peschiera's railway station sits on the main Milan-Venice line, with frequent direct services from Verona Porta Nuova (around 15-20 minutes).
Getting home from Venice (Mestre)
By plane: Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) has direct flights to most UK airports with British Airways, easyJet and others, reached from Mestre by bus or train in around 20-25 minutes.
By train: Mestre sits on the main Milan-Venice line, so it is also straightforward to travel back to Verona Airport if that suits your flights better.
