What to Expect
This tour suits both experienced cyclists and active newcomers. Most of the route is flat or gently rolling, with a few short climbs. You'll ride on bike paths and quiet secondary roads, with the option to shorten several stages by train. Urban entry points, especially in Verona and Vicenza, may require extra attention due to traffic.

How to get there

Getting to the start (Verona or Venice)

By plane: Both Verona (VRN) and Venice Marco Polo (VCE) have direct flights from UK airports. Verona is served by Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2; Venice by British Airways, easyJet and Ryanair. Choose based on your preferred starting point for the tour.

By train: Both cities are well connected on Italy’s high-speed rail network. Verona Porta Nuova and Venice Santa Lucia are both served by Trenitalia Frecciarossa services from Milan, Bologna and Rome.

Getting home from the tour (Venice)

By plane: Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) is the natural exit point for this tour. Direct flights back to UK airports take around 2 hours. The ATVO express bus connects Piazzale Roma to the airport in around 20 minutes.

Reviews

A good trip, good hotels, luggage transfers, bikes good and navigation (essential having voice as we couldn’t easily see the map in that glare and phones had to be kept under cover to avoid overheating). We were obviously under pressure from the heat considering our age and the distances involved.
