South Bohemia has a mild, continental climate that’s ideal for cycling in late spring (May–June) and early autumn (September–October). Summers are warm and pleasant, with lush green landscapes and long daylight hours. Terrain is mostly flat, providing easy rides through pine forests and gently undulating countryside. Some cycle routes have options to tackle more hilly terrain, such as the high peaks of the Blanksy Forest, with views of the Austrian Alps.
