Prague, the enchanting capital of the Czech Republic, is an ideal base for a cycling holiday that blends rich history, vibrant culture, and awesome scenery. From the cobblestone streets of the Old Town to riverside trails and lush parks, Prague will seduce you with its magic.. Whether you're an occasional cyclist or a seasoned biker, exploring the city and its surroundings on two wheels will be a memorable experience.
Exploring one of Europe’s most picturesque cities on two wheels adds another dimension. Experience the sights and sounds of Prague, as you pedal across the iconic Charles Bridge, navigate winding lanes, or cruise along the banks of the Vltava River. Gothic spires, baroque churches and medieval towers make the setting picture perfect. Although a major capital, Prague is surprisingly green with numerous parks, gardens, and forested areas in the city. From Stromovka Park to Letná Gardens and Vítkov Hill, there’s always a quiet path nearby to escape the urban bustle. As a geographic crossroads, Prague is a hub of history, arts, and cuisine. Replenish your energy and enjoy traditional Czech svíčková or goulash, paired with internationally renowned beers. Visit centuries old breweries, experience the vibrant café life, or see a classical music concert in one of the ornate concert halls.
Prague experiences a continental climate with warm summers and fresh, temperate weather in the spring and autumn months. The best times for cycling are from mid-April to June, when the budding blooms and blossoms are especially beautiful; and September to October when the city cools down from the hot summers and has fewer tourists. The terrain in the city is mostly flat with a mix of flat urban paths, some gentle inclines, and paved cycling lanes. There are some busy city areas but cyclists can restrict their routes to the traffic-free riverbanks and parks which are especially suitable for relaxed, safe biking. Marked cycle routes, A1 and A2, along the Vltava river form the backbone of the city’s dedicated cycle routes. Outside the city the routes are mostly on exclusive cycle paths and quiet country roads that are perfect for all skill levels.
We offer guided and self-guided tours designed to showcase Prague’s highlights and hidden corners. Choose gentle city loops, follow riverside routes to charming suburbs, or take long day rides into the Bohemian countryside. Our tours are suitable for all fitness levels and combine scenic cycling with cultural immersion.
“Prague has over 400 kilometres of marked cycle routes, including dedicated bike paths, park trails, and quiet urban roads. It's one of Europe’s fastest-growing cycling cities, with ongoing investments in safe, accessible infrastructure.”
