  • 6 nights
  • Self-guided
  • Bed & breakfast
  • Bike hire available

Overview

A gentle, family-friendly week between two of Belgium's best-loved destinations: the fairytale city of Bruges and the sandy beaches of the coast. Flat, easy routes and short daily distances make this an ideal first cycling holiday for families, with plenty of child-focused attractions built in along the way.

In Bruges, younger riders can take a canal boat trip, climb the Belfry, or get hands-on at the Choco-Story chocolate museum. Your stay in Ostend puts you close to the beach and a children's farm, before easy loops out to Nieuwpoort and Blankenberge, home to a Sea Life Marine Park. You'll stay in a child-friendly hotel in Ostend with its own playground.

A trip out to Zeebrugge to see the fishing boats and old fish market is another option. Overnight in Bruges.
