The fullest way to see Alsace by bike: a genuine end-to-end traverse from Wissembourg in the north to Mulhouse in the south, taking in Strasbourg, Saverne, Obernai and Colmar along the way.
Ten days is a considered amount of time for a region this varied - long enough to properly settle into a rhythm, and to feel the landscape change as you move south through the Wine Route towards the Swiss border.
Highlights
Arrive in Wissembourg and visit the Abbey of Saint Peter and Saint Paul and the Westercamp Museum.
Ride through Cleebourg's vineyards and the half-timbered village of Hunspach, with an optional detour to the Schoenenbourg fortress and Haguenau Forest.
Stop at the Uberach brewery and the Romanesque abbey at Neuwiller-lès-Saverne before reaching Saverne's Château des Rohan.
An easy, flat ride along EuroVelo 5 and the Marne-Rhine Canal into Strasbourg.
Follow the Bruche canal past Rosheim's Romanesque church to the Obernai region.
Ride through the vineyard villages of Mittelbergheim, Andlau, Dambach-la-Ville and Ribeauvillé.
Continue the Wine Route through Eguisheim and Kaysersberg to Colmar and the Unterlinden Museum.
Ride via Turckheim, Eguisheim and Rouffach to Guebwiller and Murbach Abbey.
Visit the Écomusée d'Alsace at Ungersheim before finishing in Mulhouse and its automobile museum.
Departure, or extend your stay. A return by train to Wissembourg via Strasbourg is possible.

Getting to Wissembourg and home from Mulhouse
By train: via Strasbourg station to Wissembourg. By plane: Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (~50km) or Strasbourg Airport, with taxi or shuttle onward. Mulhouse is well connected to Basel/Mulhouse Airport for the return.
