Overview

Alsace is one of France’s most distinctive cycling regions. Timber framed villages, vineyard covered hillsides and historic towns sit within easy riding distance of each other, connected by quiet cycle paths and small agricultural roads.

This circular journey begins and ends in Strasbourg, the cultural heart of Alsace. Along the way you cycle beside canals and rivers, through the wetlands of the Ried and into the vineyards that line the famous Alsace Wine Route. The route links some of the region’s most beautiful villages including Eguisheim, Riquewihr, Turckheim and Kaysersberg.

Expect colourful architecture, welcoming wine villages and a cuisine shaped by both French and German traditions.
