Our most straightforward route through classic Alsace: Strasbourg to Colmar and back via the Ried wetlands and Mulhouse, taking in the Wine Route villages either side.

Follow the Rhone-to-Rhine canal to Osthouse, Saint-Hippolyte or Sélestat.
Cross the wetlands of the Ried, via the abbey of Ebersmunster, to Colmar.
Visit Neuf-Brisach before reaching Mulhouse and its automobile museum.
Visit the Écomusée d'Alsace and Murbach Abbey en route to Guebwiller.
Ride the Route des Vins through Eguisheim, Turckheim and Kaysersberg.
Continue through Hunawihr, Ribeauvillé, Bergheim and Andlau to Obernai or Barr.
Visit Rosheim's Romanesque church and follow the Bruche canal back into Strasbourg. Departure or extension of the stay.

By train: direct TGV links across France and Germany.
By plane: Strasbourg Airport, or Basel/Mulhouse (~120km) and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (~60km).
By car: covered parking at Parking Indigo Strasbourg Hôpital Hautepierre.
