La Luminosa – “The Enlightened One”: That’s what locals call Mallorca, and it won’t take long to understand why. While the island is often associated with beach parties and nightlife, this tour invites you to explore a quieter, more authentic side of Mallorca—from sun-drenched coastal paths to tranquil inland hills, from ancient olive groves to dramatic cliffs. You’ll ride through sleepy fishing villages, stop to swim in crystal-clear coves, enjoy paella beneath lemon trees, and cycle winding roads into the Tramuntana mountains.
This is a journey of contrasts—nature and culture, ascent and descent, coast and countryside—all stitched together by the rhythm of your pedals.
Tour Highlights
Great for active riders ready for rolling hills and longer days in the saddle—offering both challenge and beautiful scenery.
Settle into your hotel near Palma’s coast. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a stroll along the beach promenade or explore Palma’s Old Town.
After a welcome briefing, ride along the southern coast past windmills and the ancient Cyclopean ruins of Capocorb Vell. The route leads through shimmering salt flats to the sandy beaches and clear waters of Colònia Sant Jordi.
Head inland via Ses Salines and visit a botanical garden before returning to the coast. Pause at the dramatic natural arch “Es Pontàs” and the postcard-perfect Cala Santanyí. In Porto Cristo, explore the otherworldly Dragon Caves.
Pass through peaceful villages like Son Carrio and Manacor, known for its pearls and pottery. A traditional Majorcan lunch awaits in Petra, before continuing through Santa Margalida to the beachside town of C’an Picafort.
Today’s gentle loop takes you past bird sanctuaries and coastal views to the bays of Pollença and Alcúdia—home to Roman ruins and narrow cobbled streets. Return to C’an Picafort.
Ride inland through Inca and Muro, with a bus transfer taking you up into the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. After visiting the Lluc Monastery, descend through Fornalutx, often called the prettiest village in Spain. Enjoy an authentic paella lunch before arriving in the charming fishing port of Sóller.
Includes bus transfer.
Your final ride takes you through dramatic coastal scenery via the towns of Deià and Valldemossa. Arrive in Palma to explore its grand cathedral, historic lanes, and vibrant waterfront before returning to Playa de Palma.
Transfer to the airport or stay longer to enjoy more of Mallorca’s charms.
Flights are not included with this holiday, but we recommend flying to Mallorca (PMI) and returning from Mallorca (PMI).
