Overview

La Luminosa “The Enlightened One”; that’s what locals call Mallorca, and it won’t take long to understand why. While the island is often associated with beach parties and nightlife, this tour invites you to explore a quieter, more authentic side of Mallorca, from sun-drenched coastal paths to tranquil inland hills, from ancient olive groves to dramatic cliffs. You’ll ride through sleepy fishing villages, stop to swim in crystal-clear coves, enjoy paella beneath lemon trees, and cycle winding roads into the Tramuntana mountains.

This is a journey of contrasts in nature and culture, ascent and descent, coast and countryside, all stitched together by the rhythm of your pedals.

Tour Highlights

  • Cycle through peaceful inland landscapes and dramatic coastal cliffs
  • Swim at pristine beaches, including Es Trenc
  • Explore the surreal Dragon Caves of Porto Cristo
  • Ride through charming villages like Fornalutx and Valldemossa
  • Taste traditional paella, local tapas, and Majorcan wine
  • Discover Roman ruins, medieval ports, and hidden coves

How to get there

Getting to Mallorca (start and end of tour)

By plane: Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is one of the busiest airports in Europe during summer, with direct flights from virtually every UK and Irish airport on British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, TUI and many more. Flight time from London is around 2 hours 15 minutes. The airport is 8km from Palma with bus and taxi connections.

By car: Car hire is available at the airport from all major companies. Mallorca is compact and very driveable outside peak summer. The Serra de Tramuntana mountains in the northwest and the Cap de Formentor peninsula are both within an hour of Palma.
