Champagne is a region proud of its history and firmly turned towards the future. Your tour begins in Reims, home to the UNESCO-listed Reims Cathedral, before heading out into the vineyards that gave the world its most celebrated sparkling wine.
Push open the door of a small grower or a famous champagne house and see the cellars where it all happens, thousands of bottles deep. Quiet roads, rolling vineyards, and the occasional very good reason to stop for a glass.

Getting to Reims (start and end of tour)
By plane: This is one of France's most convenient destinations from an airport perspective. If you're flying into Paris CDG, you can catch a direct TGV from the airport terminal straight to Reims, skipping central Paris entirely. The journey takes around 30 minutes — hard to beat.
By train: Direct TGV trains run from Paris Gare de l’Est to Reims approximately every 4 hours, taking just 46 minutes. There are around 7 departures a day. From London, take the Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord, walk across to Gare de l’Est (about 10 minutes), and you can be in Reims in around 4 hours 20 minutes in total. Reims station is a 5-minute walk from the town centre and the cathedral.
By car: The drive from Paris to Reims takes around 1.5 hours via the A4 motorway, with tolls of roughly €12. Reims sits at the junction of the A4 (Paris–Strasbourg) and A26 (Calais–Dijon) motorways, making it straightforward to reach from multiple directions. None of the hotels have private car parks, but guarded paid parking is available in the city centre.
Getting home from Reims
Since this is a round trip finishing back in Reims, your return journey is simply the reverse of your arrival. The direct TGV to Paris Est takes 46 minutes, and from Paris CDG you can connect directly back to Reims by TGV if needed. Reims is well placed for a night in Paris at the end of your trip if you want to extend your stay.
